Mac OS X Leopard doesn’t include NetInfo anymore. No big deal. I thought. Well, only until I wanted to change my default shell to zsh and after a bit of googling, found this article on www.macosxhints.com. Humph, niutil. Gone.
To cut the long story short, here’s how to change user’s default shell in Leopard:
$ sudo dscl localhost -change Local/Default/Users/<username> \
UserShell /bin/bash /bin/zsh
